META scientists awarded Kavli Microbiome Ideas Challenge Grant

META Center scientists Raghuveer Parthasarathy, Brendan Bohannan, and Karen Guillemin received one of three grants awarded through the Kavli Microbiome Ideas Challenge. Their proposal, “Revealing Transmission Mechanisms of the Gut Microbiota Using Genetic Switches and Memory Elements,” will generate tools to enable new experimental approaches for studying animal-associated microbial communities as ecosystems of interacting colonized hosts and colonizing microbes.
